Traditional and Vintage Series

New cymbals, classic sounds.

The SFCC Traditional and Vintage Series are an homage to the great, classic sounds of the Turkish made Zildjian K cymbals we hear on many of our favorite records. As we seek to replicate the old methods of cymbal smithing, it seems only natural that we would realize this passion project to replicate the essence and feel of the old pieces as well. Read on to see which series might be best for you, and how to order your dream sound!

Traditional Series

The goal of the Traditional Series is to emulate the sound, feel, and look of how vintage cymbals would have been fresh out of the factory, which is how they would have been played at the time of our favorite records, for the most part. They have a clean finish and no rivets for the most simple and elegant version of the classic sounds.

Vintage Series

The goal of the Vintage Series is to emulate the sound, feel, and look of vintage cymbals as they are today. The build methods and techniques are the same as the Traditional Series, with a few small differences to simulate the aging process as best as possible. They come stock with the SFCC Vintage Patina and rivets for that complex, balanced, relaxed sound we love.
